Samsung Will Introduce the Z1 on January 18th
Samsung is expected to unveil the Samsung Z1 on January 18th. It is a Tizen-flavored device with 4-inch WVGA display. It’s obviously not a high-end model, as we can easily guess right off the bat. Driving the affordable device will be a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and it should be a decent entry-level smartphone for any emerging market.
It also has 4GB of internal storage and 768MB of RAM. In case users need to store large multimedia content, it is possible to insert up to 32GB of microSD card. A VGA camera graces the front of Samsung Z1 and there’s also a 3Mp camera on the back for slightly better image production. The 1500mAh battery should keep the phone powered for much of the day. Connectivity options are largely basic with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G data. Pre-installed within the phone is Tizen 2.3 OS and it should be pointed out that the phone has built-in FM radio and dual SIM card slots. The display has rather thick bezels and there’s a standard physical Home button below.
